Laurent Baheux – In The Heart Of The African Savanna.
Today I had the privilege and pleasure of meeting online the French photographer Laurent Baheux. My heart has been a very dark place since Cecil’s death. Through Laurent’s black and white photography, it soared once again with light, colour and sound, singing on a breeze that most of us only dream about. He brings an awareness and sensitivity of the true Africa. The Africa we must fight for. For if Africa dies so do we. I should not have to explain what I mean, so I won’t. Except to say that what we do now, and what we have done, affects us all for years to come.
Laurent says that the only way to shoot lion is with a camera and lense. These are his weapons. His trophies hang on a wall in a beautiful frame.
